Oklahoma City Admissions
Cimarron School of Living Education invites Oklahoma City families to apply for a Charlotte Mason hybrid education. Two days a week, students learn on campus with Cimarron teachers. Three days, parents lead learning at home. The Oklahoma City campus meets at Village Bible Church, 10600 N May Ave, beginning Fall 2026. Families choose Tuesday and Thursday or Wednesday and Friday. Drop-off begins at 10 am, with pickup at 3:30.

Applications for a new school year have typically opened in January. Some classes fill. Check the wait list for current availability, then start the application when you are ready. Cimarron reads each file on a case by case basis.
How admission works
The Oklahoma City process is the same shape as the steps on the Apply page. Here is the path families follow:
- Fill out the online application.
- Pay the non-refundable application fee ($50 per student) online or mail it to Cimarron School of Living Education, PO Box 158, Guthrie, Oklahoma 73044.
- After completing the application, parents read Susan Schaeffer Macaulay’s book, For the Children’s Sake, and complete the response questionnaire. You may order the book online, purchase one from Cimarron for a campus pick up, or listen to the audiobook.
- Request the required recommendation form from three individuals (a previous principal, teacher, homeschool co-op leader, or private tutor; if none apply, a church Sunday school teacher or similar person). Recommendation forms may not be completed by a relative of the student. Applicants in process after May 1st submit three recommendations in lieu of a Shadow Day.
- Schedule and complete a Shadow Day when the school is offering them. Shadow Days run from 10 am to 1 pm. Students are dropped off.
- After those pieces are reviewed, Cimarron contacts you to set up a Family Session. You will talk through the required reading, the Shadow Day (when held), and whether the fit is mutual.
- Admission decisions are communicated by email. Once invited to enroll, families confirm by completing the Enrollment Packet within five days of the invitation date, including the Family Enrollment Agreement, Tuition Commitment Agreement, Handbook Signature Page, and the enrollment fee.
Fees to know before you apply
- New student application fee: $50 per student, due with the online application.
- Enrollment fee (from the 2025-2026 process pages): $350 per student February 1 through June 30; $400 beginning July 1. One process page also listed an early enrollment fee of $300 (January 10 through February 1).
- Tuition for 2026-2027 is listed on the Tuition & Fees page and includes books, supplies, a school shirt, FACTS enrollment, CMI licensing, and classroom snacks. Students bring a lunch box and a water bottle.
Cimarron students are eligible to apply for the Oklahoma Parental Choice Tax Credit. For many families the credit covers tuition and fees. Read the tax credit page before you choose a payment plan. June or August tuition payments remain due even if a tax-credit check has not yet arrived.
Visit before you apply
Information meetings give a first look at Cimarron and time for questions. Viewing days let prospective parents and students attend Symposium (morning assembly), tour, and meet staff and current parents. The school highly encourages families to attend an information meeting before a Viewing Day. You may also schedule a short Oklahoma City campus tour.
Tulsa/Sapulpa families should use the Tulsa admissions page. That campus meets Mondays and Wednesdays at Forest Hills Baptist Church in Sapulpa.
Cimarron School of Living Education’s admissions and employment policies are without regard to race, sex, age, disability, or any other legally protected classification.
“Of all the joyous motives of school life, the love of knowledge is the only abiding one; the only one which determines the scale, so to speak, upon which the person will hereafter live.”Charlotte Mason
